Manage Your Finances

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) & Master Your Card Oportunidad (MYCO) partnered to create a financial literacy program called Managing your Finances. The program provided knowledge, insights and tools on financial management, making educated financial decisions and how consumers can empower themselves with the purchasing power of a card.

Families can move forward and save time and money with electronic payment technology. The program provides education that helps individuals and families access the payment tools of our modern economy. Prepaid, debit and credit cards save money and time, increase access to online shopping and bill paying and provide more financial control.

Twenty percent of Latinos in the United states are underbanked according to the most recent FDIC report. In addition to the day-to-day costs in time, money and safety—this also means they are not building a financial history to build their financial future. Advances in technology now, more than ever, make the benefits of electronic payments available to everyone—whether or not they have a bank account.
